Kevin O'Hare - Artistic Director Royal Ballet Covent Garden (great Britain)

Born in Yorkshire, trained at the Royal Ballet School, and, under the exchange program, at the Royal Danish Ballet. He began his ballet career with the Royal Ballet's partner, Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet (Birmingham Royal Ballet), and worked there as a Premier. During this period he was active in the UK and abroad, including as a guest artist for many famous ballet companies. His repertoire included all major classical roles such as Prince Siegfried (Swan lake), Prince Florimund (Sleeping Beauty), Albrecht (Giselle) and Romeo (Romeo and Juliet by Kenneth Macmillan). O'hare has worked with many prominent representatives of the ballet world, such as Ninette de Valois, Peter Wright, Frederick Ashton, MacMillan and David Bintley. He also created several roles, including Aminta (for "Sylvia" David Bintley).

O'hare left the stage in 2000 and entered an internship at the Royal Shakespeare Company, which led him back to the Royal Ballet, where he eventually achieved the post of artistic Director of the company. Kevin O'hair was appointed artistic Director of the Royal Ballet in 2012, succeeding Monica Mason.
