Andris Liepa Marinovich (born in 1962) - Soviet and Russian ballet soloist, stage Director and producer. People's artist of Russia, artistic Director and chief choreographer of the Kremlin ballet theatre, founder of The charitable Foundation named after his father - Maris Liepa.
In 1981 he was invited to the Bolshoi ballet company. He performed leading roles in the main repertoire of the theater, in ballets: "Nutcracker", "Sleeping beauty", "Giselle", "Ivan the terrible", "Golden age" and others. He worked in the new York city ballet And the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), where he performed the role of Siegfried (Swan Lake) staged by M. Baryshnikov, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet by K. McMillan, danced in D. Balanchine's Violin Concerto. From 1991 to 1998 he was a leading soloist of the Leningrad Kirov Opera and ballet theatre. In 1993 Liepa has restored three ballets of M.
